Kathmandu (dpa) – At least 28 people were killed when a bus veered off a road and fell 300 metres in western Nepal Tuesday, police said.
Eleven were injured in the accident in Kalikot district.
Police said the bus landed on the banks of the Tila River.
Hundreds die in road accidents in Nepal every year, blamed on bad roads and reckless driving. On Sunday, 13 people were killed in a similar accident in western Nepal.
